These 10 Orange County restaurants have everything you need to watch the big game, giant TV’s and great food! Even though I am not an avid football watcher, I never miss the Superbowl. Say it with me ladies, “half time show!”. I will also be the first to admit that the Superbowl is actually incredibly exciting to watch. I still talk about the 2015 Superbowl with the Patriots versus the Seahawks. The end of that game was beyond exciting.

To sum it up in the female language, there were two incredible catches towards the end of the game that were pure luck. Then the game was tied and the Seahawks had the ball. All they needed to do was hand off the ball to the dude with the dreads who was a super fast runner, have him run the ball, and touchdown! Instead, the coach made an awful call to throw the ball and it was intercepted, the Seahawks lost, and then a huge fight broke out.

North Italia

Now you know what would have made that game even more exciting? Being at a great restaurant with tasty food that isn’t swimming in grease and having a nice comfortable place to sit that’s not in an overly crowded bar. If only men could understand these simple needs, I would watch football every week! So here’s my list of 10 great Orange County Restaurants you can head to February 5th to watch the big game!

1. North Italia
690 Newport Center Dr
Newport Beach, CA 92660

This restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine and has a great bar area with two giant TV’s and plenty of seating. You can also make a reservation on Open Table woohoo!

2. Oak Grill
690 Newport Center Dr
Newport Beach, CA 92660

On my first visit to Oak Grill, I immediately couldn’t help but notice their amazing bar set up. Nothing is more annoying than when you sit at the bar and their television is so small I have to put on my glasses to see anything. That will not be a problem at Oak Grill. Their television is basically the entire back of the bar, set up as one huge screen. They can have several shows going at once or combine them into one giant screen.

Wasa Shi & Teppanyaki

3. Wasa Sushi & Tepanyaki
1346 Bison Ave
Newport Beach, CA 92660

This is my super secret sushi spot I probably dine at almost once a week. They have separated from the other Wasa Sushi’s and set up their own bar area with plenty of TV’s for watching the game. They also have an awesome Tepanyaki area now the trumps Benihana! Located at The Bluffs in Newport Beach this secret spot won’t remain so for very long.

4. Water Grill
3300 Bristol St
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Who says you can’t enjoy fine dining while watching the Superbowl? Lobster Roll anyone? If you take me to watch the game at Water Grill I will put on a cheerleading uniform and perform my own half-time show. Ok, I’m lying, no I won’t, but the food is really that good. I’ll at least be really, really happy and cheerful.

5. The Stand
5633 Alton Pkwy
Bldg 200
Irvine, CA 92618

The Stand just opened in Irvine and is probably the closest thing to a bar on this list. Their burgers and hotdogs are awesome though so I couldn’t leave them off. If you’re looking for something more casual, definitely add this new hot spot to your list.

The Oyster Bar SKC

6. The Oyster Bar SKC
2626 E Katella Ave
Anaheim, CA 92806

If you’re in Anaheim I would hit up The Oyster Bar for sure. This spot has TV’s set up all over the restaurant and has an awesome creole inspired menu. Can you say Gumbo, Oysters, and Chowder Fries! Oh My!

EMC Seafood & Raw Bar

7. EMC Seafood & Raw Bar
14346 Culver Dr
Irvine, CA 92604

Irvine’s popular seafood & raw bar is another great spot with big screen TV’s through the restaurant. Locals love to come here and enjoy oysters and their popular uni pasta.

The Wharf

8. The Wharf
12941 Main St
Garden Grove, CA 92840

How do you like your crawfish? Whether tossed in mac & cheese or slurped right out of their shell, you’re going to love The Wharf in Garden Grove. They also have televisions on every wall so you won’t miss a single play.

9. Coyote Grill
31621 Coast Hwy
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

If you’re in the mood for some tasty Mexican treats like calamari tacos then head over to Coyote Grill in Laguna Beach. There are plenty of TV’s spread throughout the restaurants and you”ll be watching the game with a beautiful ocean view.

10. Opah
26851 Aliso Creek Rd
Ste C
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656

Opah is a little gem I found not too long ago that has a tasty menu full of all my favorite appetizers. Enjoy everything from mussels with 5 different broth options like saffron lemon cream and short rib pot pie. The bar also boasts 3 big screen TV’s so you can catch the game at the bar or seated close to it.

What are your plans for the Superbowl? I already made my reservations at one of these great restaurants so be sure to say hi if you see me there!
